Europe. Our aim is to help you piece all of the puzzle parts
together.
We all know that moving home is considered one of the most
stressful things we can do in life. Deciding to live, work or
retire in another country can be a minefield of paperwork,
paperwork and more paperwork, with the biggest question being where
to start?
Unlike many websites out there, we have been there, done that, and
bought the t-shirt! And now we've set up a website to help you with
your move. We hope that our experiences will show you that
moving countries within the EU can be a piece of cake!
Our site is aimed at British Citizens, however it is important to
point out there are different types of British Citizenship and
Nationals (click the link for the definitions). The
information offered on these pages is aimed at British
Citizens who were born in the UK. Many countries do not
recognise other types of Citizenship as true EU membership.
Therefore we would suggest that if you are in any doubt where you
are classified, before following any information on these pages,
you double check with the relevant Embassy. All Embassy information
is included in the main page for each country.
This website has been set up to put together the jigsaw that
is moving country. There are many sites out there offering this
information, however we are the only one that puts it all under one
roof for each and every one of the 27 EU countries. For many of the
countries, there are plenty of sites, however wading through them
for the specific information you're looking for can be difficult
and time consuming.
On our site, we have done two things:
Where information is already available online, we are linking
directly into the sites covering the topics you are most likely to
need. Where there isn't, we have produced our own "how to guide"
for reference where possible. We cannot guarantee the content of
these sites as we do not control them, however we are linking to
the most official sites on the world wide web, many of which the
Embassies themselves recommend .
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has recently
launched a new website aimed at those travelling and living
overseas. The aim of this site is to put all the consulate

The information you find on these pages have been approved by each
and every EU Embassy. Links and contact details to each of the
embassies are also supplied should any of your questions remain
unanswered.
