The importance of your Contract of Employment
An employment contract in Cyprus is not obligatory, however having some kind of an agreement in place prior to starting work is advisable. There may be situations where you need to prove you have work, and for this, again, a contract of employment can be beneficial.
Your employer should apply for a social security number on your behalf along with your tax registration.
