• Returning to the UK/Moving within Europe
• Make sure that your Passport is valid
• Notify the Authorities of your departure date

To de-register a car you must present the car documents and license plates to the authorities at your local “Straßenverkehrsamt” (road traffic licensing department).

You may want to ensure that you register your car in the new country before doing this or else driving your car out of Germany will not be legal!
